Molecular Biomechanics

All organisms are composed of cells and proteins are indispensable to the functioning of individual cells. We engage in the studies of proteins responsible for cytoplasmic streaming, plant morphogenesis, amoeboid movement, and ion transport. Various light microscopes, electron microscope, and biochemical instruments are used in our studies. The figure to the right illustrates the molecular mechanism of cytoplasmic streaming presented from our laboratory.
