Crystal Structure Science

Metal complexes are very attracting because metal ions and organic ligands can be assembled and combined to produce chemical or physical properties with new characteristics. Our research aims to produce novel functional materials by arranging and linking the metal complexes appropriately in crystals. Moreover, to clarify the chemical reaction mechanism or the solid state properties, high brilliant X-ray at SPring-8 is used the crystal structure analyses of photo-excited molecules, reaction intermediates, and luminescent multi-nuclear metal complexes.
